Commentary by Diamond Marie, Chief Transformational Officer
Leading up to the retreat, I was in sheer panic. I didn’t think anyone would come and even questioned my qualifications. Yes, I hosted retreats before. Yes, I’m a licensed therapist and a holistic practitioner. However, these things didn’t matter in my moments of panic. I became fearful. Would I truly lead these attendees to internal healing?
As people signed up, I told myself it wasn’t about me and my insecurities but helping others heal. Things made sense When I stepped outside myself and focused on purpose! The retreat was a success, and I walked away refreshed and with a new perspective on many things. I wanted to share my revelations from the retreat with you as well:
- I learned that community is important; it doesn’t matter if it’s only a few people. There is also a tribe out there for you! It doesn’t matter how different or quirky you think you are; people with similar interests are excited to meet you!
- Healing is an ongoing journey, and there will always be an unforeseen trigger or circumstance that will make you question your reality. You can’t run away from these moments.
- You must lean into uncomfortable feelings. It’s human nature to avoid pain at all costs, whether physical or mental. However, true enlightenment happens when our minds explore our emotional pain.
- You are never too qualified to learn from another master; everyone is a master of their own lives. Everyone has something to offer you that you can learn from.
Here are some reviews from the attendees of the Transformation Retreat of 2023:
“Great stress reliever! Very informative.”
“I was nervous at first but found a sense of peace, and it was like returning home.”
“Knowing that I’m not alone and that there is space to be vulnerable and show up a mess was comforting.”
I look forward to hosting the Transformation Retreat in 2024. I hope to bring more healing and tools to those seeking to incorporate complete wellness into their lives. Despite the expansion of future retreats, I promise to keep them as intimate as possible and centered on the attendees.
I would also like to acknowledge the presenters who made the retreat even more special. Please feel free to check them out!
